TTS, INSPIRED by craftsmanship 
since 1925


Our story is one of family and business, full of energy and inventiveness. It is a success story that would not have been possible without our great passion for craftsmanship.

1925

Gottlieb Stoll, along with Albert Fezer, founded the company Fezer & Stoll in 1925. Albert Fezer left at the start of the 1930s. Their names live on in the brands Festo and Festool to this day.

1933

The company is renamed to Festo.

1992

Festo Tooltechnic is founded as a specialized division of the company Festo.

1993

Tanos is founded as a subsidiary of TTS. The Systainer came into the world and became an immediate hit.

2000

In 2000 Festool GmbH is spun off, under the umbrella of TTS Tooltechnic Systems, and found a new home in Wendlingen. While Festool reinvented itself in this moment, it remained true to its values.

2017

SawStop, the leader in power tool safety is acquired by TTS Tooltechnic Systems to sit alongside Festool as a sister brand.

2018

ExoIQ is acquired by TTS Tooltechnic Systems following the launch of the S700, and sits alongside other sister brands Festool, SawStop, and Tanos.

2019

After years of collaboration with Festool on the development of the SM1 Origin Spindle, Shaper Tools is acquired by TTS Tooltechnic Systems and joins other premium power tool brands under the TTS umbrella.
