We’re excited to announce our second Shaper Masterclass Live in partnership with the Florida School of Woodwork. Space is limited for this two-day event. We’re offering a total of 60 tickets with a limit of 20 people in each class.
Your ticket includes:
Over the course of the event, students will rotate through three diverse classes and subjects led by guest instructors. To kick things off, Shaper staff will lead an Origin Fundamentals session on Friday afternoon where attendees will have an opportunity to brush up on Shaper Origin skills and get a thorough walkthrough of Shaper's ecosystem. Saturday's classes will be approximately two hours each and cover a mix of demonstration, hands-on instruction, and lecture.
Often times well-executed exposed joinery is the only embellishment a piece needs. In this hands-on workshop participants will learn Erik’s steps to crafting tight-fitting joinery as well as making a table leg joint using Shaper Origin and standard shop tools.
In this part lecture, part hands-on class, award winning furniture maker Frank Strazza will lead you through his process of creating hand cut marquetry. Each student will have time working with the tools as well as observing and asking questions.
With a simple hot pipe setup, bending wood free hand opens up a world of possibilities. Led by furniture maker and educator Larissa Huff, this interactive class will teach you the basics to create a setup in your own shop and begin bending wood to your will.
