Sascha Wein

As a master carpenter, business economist and managing director of the Munich Carpenters' Guild, Sascha Wein teaches the use of woodworking machines at the inter-company training center in Munich.

“It takes time to get good at CNC – but I see quick successes at the Origin.”

As an integral part of the training, the course content is standardized nationwide, but with leeway in its implementation: “We try to integrate technical innovations as best as possible and to interpret the given framework as broadly as possible. We also try to make the training as exciting and colorful as possible.”

“Origin is excellent for training on the stationary CNC, because abstract terms such as zero point, coordinate dimensioning, tool offset, milling pressure, tool geometry, etc. can be explained and deepened directly in practice.”

Sascha has firmly integrated Origin into his curriculum and uses it for the customization of predefined workpieces, for the production of templates and for the processing of special materials such as solid core or mineral composite panels.

“My third-year students in particular look forward to the course in which we use Origin to build a longboard. Thanks to the intuitive operation, they can get started right away and also get creative themselves.” In the long term, Sascha would like to use Origin for other projects and integrate it into veneering work, for example.
