About

Based in San Francisco with offices in Stuttgart, Germany, Shaper was founded in 2012 with a mission of developing a revolutionary line of computer-augmented power tools, beginning first with a handheld CNC router called Origin.

Today, Shaper supports thousands of woodworkers and craftspeople around the globe with the simple approach of developing tools to meet users' needs, rather than expecting users to conform to the tools.

Careers at Shaper

Our team in the USA is composed of experts from a wide variety of backgrounds, including computer vision, machine design, film, consumer electronics, woodworking, augmented reality, and more. This breadth and depth of experience provides a unique perspective necessary to create entirely new classes of tools that bring precision work to the next level.
The Europe team in Stuttgart is an agile, young team with responsibility over Europe-wide sales, business development and marketing. With a strong affinity for woodworking and employees from the woodworking sector, we're responsive and closely attuned to the needs of the industry.
