Shaper Masterclass Live 2024 in Germany: A Weekend of Craftsmanship and Inspiration

On the first weekend of October, the Shaper Masterclass Live made its debut in Germany – and it was a huge success!

Over 50 participants from various areas of woodworking gathered at the Shaper Office in Leinfelden-Echterdingen to learn, experiment with new techniques, and hone their craftsmanship.

Whether long-time Shaper Origin users or excited newcomers, everyone took part in three hands-on workshops: Marquetry with Markus Kiefer, Vacuum Clamping with Stefan Katzer, and Template Making with Florian Meigel. Each course provided fascinating insights into woodworking techniques, and participants worked on their own Balance Board project – a personal creation they proudly took home at the end of the event.

We are especially thrilled to have brought this event to Germany after its success in San Francisco. “As this was our first German-language Masterclass, we weren't sure beforehand how the format would be received in Europe. The fact that it inspired so many people – from professionals to beginners – was a fantastic experience.” said Andreas Rhyner, who was instrumental in organizing the event.

A big thank you to everyone who attended, and of course to our three instructors, Florian Meigel, Stefan Katzer, and Markus Kiefer, for their incredible work.

A special thank you also goes to Sophie Eger for her assistance in Florian's workshop and Bernd Ludwig for his support in Stefan's workshop. Their help made the workshops even smoother and more engaging for everyone involved.
