Masterclass with Mike Pekovich
Join longtime instructor and Fine Woodworking magazine Editor and Creative Director Mike Pekovich as he teaches the fundamental woodworking concepts that guide every project, along with new techniques for creating inlays with Origin.
CASEWORK AND NEW APPROACHES TO WOODWORKING
As Mike Pekovich walks us through building a classic wall cabinet, he shares both essential hand tool woodworking and joinery techniques, as well as the fundamental concepts he applies to every project that comes off his bench.
These simple but powerful ideas—such as establishing layout lines at the start of a project, understanding the difference between equal and exact (and knowing which cuts are truly critical), or considering how changes in natural light throughout the day can reveal hidden character in a finished piece—can be applied to your own wall cabinet or any project you build in the future.
Mike has worn many hats over the years from graphic designer, to photographer to woodworker. He currently serves as the Editor and Creative Director of Fine Woodworking Magazine and regularly teaches classes at the top woodworking schools around the US.
