Bench Brush
Aspen Golann’s Bench Brush is a classic hand tool, informed by woodworking tradition and elevated by thoughtful design. With a sculptural hardwood handle and hand-tied natural fiber bristles, this shop essential becomes a beautiful everyday object.

Metric & Imperial
Drawing on years of traditional chairmaking experience, Aspen developed a new approach to shaping using Origin. The result is a Brush with graceful, hand-cut curves, guided by precise contours. This project, like Origin itself, blends digital precision with a human touch.
You’ll use Origin and Workstation to cut accurate and detailed hardwood brush blanks, learning tips for repeatable fixturing along the way.
The Bench Brush features sweeping hand-shaped chamfers and curves. You’ll use Origin-cut contours to guide shaping with a rasp, file, card scraper, and sandpaper.
The Bench Brush’s Tampico fibers are made from dried agave and are ideal for brushmaking. You’ll use an Origin-made fixture to size and tie bundles of natural fiber bristles.
